The Seed Box is a working, outdoor environment where adults and young people with additional support needs can learn, contribute and grow.

We support people who may find mainstream employment or formal education challenging, offering practical, hands-on experience in a real setting. Our co-workers are involved in meaningful tasks throughout the seasons — growing food, caring for plants, maintaining tools, creating crafts and working together as part of a team.

We operate across three sites — Banchory, Ballogie and Glen Tanar — with The Seed Box shop as our only public-facing site. Our growing spaces provide a calm, structured and purposeful environment where individuals can build confidence, independence and transferable life skills at their own pace.

We work in a person-centred way, shaping support around each individual’s strengths and ambitions, and collaborate closely with partner agencies to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

At its heart, The Seed Box is about providing real opportunities in a real environment — with nature as both the setting and the teacher.
